International Institute for Strings, Chamber Music, and Music Comprehension
Based in southwest Missouri, Onomatopoeia offers world class music instruction both to its local community with in-person lessons and lectures, as well as advanced students across the globe through remote lessons and advising. The institute offers diverse opportunities for a range of student and amateur musicians including private lessons, chamber music study, amateur music comprehension courses and lectures. Finally, the institute offers young artist residencies for young professional cellists looking for assistant teaching and coaching experience along with private lessons and mentorship. Directed by cellist Steuart Pincombe, Onomatopoeia includes international guest faculty who share their expertise via remote (and from time to time in-person) chamber music coachings and lectures.

The Cello Studio
An inspiring, and intellectually invigorating musical education for local high school, collegiate, and adult students. Includes opportunities for online lessons and mentorship for advanced young professionals. The Chamber Music Studio
World-class chamber music instruction for students in southwest Missouri. The Young Artist Apprenticeship
Open to advanced young professional cellists who have completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in music and demonstrate exceptional technical and musical facility along with good communication and teaching skills. They must also articulate a love and respect for nature and it’s cultivation, and how it influences their art form. Learn more about the program and see pictures of the farm here.

Music Comprehension
Once a month Steuart Pincombe, or a special guest, presents a lecture, performance or master class specifically for members of the public, musicians and non-musicians alike.
